Man charged with threatening Miley Cyrus’ life

A man has been charged with allegedly threatening to kill Miley Cyrus on the set of her latest movie “The Last Song,” on the same day another obsessed fan had felony charges of attempted stalking dropped.

US soldier Sean Christian Mathis, 22, is accused of showing up at the Georgia location where Cyrus’ body double was filming a scene for the Disney movie in June. He is reported to have mistaken the stand-in for Miley Cyrus herself and shouting, “Hey, it’s Miley Cyrus. I’m going to f**king kill you.”

According to a police report obtained by TMZ.com, authorities arrested Mathis for making “terroristic (sic) threats” and disorderly conduct, and, after discovering he was a member of the army, called in the military police to take over the case. Officials announced on Wednesday they were pressing ahead with the case against Mathis, although details about court dates have yet to be revealed.

On Wednesday, 53-year-old Mark McLeod had counts of attempted stalking, obstruction of a police officer and disturbing the peace dismissed following his two arrests near “The Last Song” set over the summer.

McLeod, who was accused of making “inappropriate comments” to young Cyrus fans, escaped the charges after a grand jury ruled there was insufficient evidence to indict him. (Starpulse.com)

Miley Cyrus plans Dolly Parton-themed 17th b’day bash

Teen sensation Miley Cyrus is planning to celebrate her 17th birthday next month with a Dolly Parton-theme.

The Hannah Montana actress, who shares the same Nashville, Tennessee hometown with the veteran country music star, confessed being a huge Parton fan.

Miley Cyrus revealed her plans about her big day on November 23 during a recent appearance on U.S. presenter Ryan Seacrest''s radio show.

"I want to rent out a cool place and play all Dolly Parton music and have everyone dress up as their favourite Dolly moment,” Contactmusic quoted her as telling the host.

"I am really excited about getting all my crew members to dress up as Dolly. That''s probably going to be the funniest thing ever," she added

Accused Miley Cyrus stalker due back in Ga. court

SAVANNAH, Ga. — A 53-year-old Georgia man accused of trying to stalk teen pop star Miley Cyrus is expected in court just two days after a grand jury refused to indict him.

Mark McLeod (MIK-lowd) is scheduled to appear Friday morning before a State Court judge in Savannah, where he's been jailed since August.

Police say McLeod twice traveled to nearby Tybee Island looking for the 16-year-old "Hannah Montana" star as she filmed a movie on the Georgia coast. Investigators said he resisted officers who tried to remove him from the set.

A grand jury on Wednesday declined to indict McLeod on felony charges. He still faces misdemeanor charges of attempted stalking and disorderly conduct.

McLeod's attorney says his client never posed a threat.
