With Miley Cyrus being a new “paparazzi subject,” she began filming Hannah Montana: The Movie in May of 2008. As summer 2008 began, Miley Cyrus was beginning to prepare for the release of Miley Cyrus sophomore album: Breakout. The album’s first single, 7 Things, was released in May 2008 on Radio Disney. The song, early on, was suspected of being about former boyfriend and new found popstar Nick Jonas of The Jonas Brothers. Breakout was released on July 22, 2008 at #1 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart. The album was recorded, promoted, and regarded as a Miley Cyrus production. It is the first album Miley Cyrus has released with no relation or acknowledgement to her TV Show as character Hannah Montana. The rest of the summer brought Miley Cyrus more success and more fun.
